Adoption
Adopting a glider can be a very exciting time for a first time glider parent.  This is a tiny living being who will be dependent on you for many years.  He will require love, food and shelter every day of his life which can be 12 to 14 years.  It is a commitment that I want you to be sure you are prepared for so besides checking out my site please check out some of the links I have provided and do as much research as you can before buying a glider.

COST

The cost of my baby boys and girls includes a sleeping pouch and enough food to give you a really good start. It does concern me when people ask for a deal or mention that they can't afford much.  Be very aware that it is not just the initial cost of the glider that you must be prepared for.  You will need to to be able to house him properly.  Feed him every day.  Provide toys for him.  And an annual check up is strongly urged.  If you have trouble with the initial costs it might not be the right time for you to purchase a glider.

WAITING LIST

I may have a waiting list for boys or girls.  The waiting list is not something to be terribly concerned about.  You can be 12th on the list one day and first the next.  People on the list sometimes find a baby sooner, closer, or sometimes just disappear from the list.  Getting on my waiting list in no way commits you to a baby.  Your commitment only begins once I notify you that your baby is oop (out of pouch).  Once I notify you that your baby is oop I wait 24 hours to hear from you.  If I don't get a response in 24 hours I assume you are no longer interested in adopting a baby.  At that time I move along on the waiting list.

DEPOSIT

Deposits are due once I notify you that your baby is oop.  The deposit is 1/2 of the purchase amount.  You may pay the deposit in any form that you are comfortable with.  If you use pay pal there is an additional 3% added.  Deposits are NOT refundable.  Once you agree that you want a baby and have sent the deposit he or she is yours.  I wait three days for the deposit to arrive.  If the deposit does not arrive in three days the baby is available to others and I do not chase you down for it.  It is your responsibility to remember to mail it not mine.  At this time you may want to send something small like a piece of fabric that has your scent on it.  If you want a health check up prior to picking up your baby I must know before the deposit is made.

PICK UP DAY

I release my babies to their new homes when they are 6-8 weeks old and weigh over 40 grams.  I will give you an approximate pick up date once you say you want the baby and are mailing a deposit.  Babies are all different and unpredictable.  As he grows and is spoiled by me I will keep you posted on his progress.  Once I have an exact pick up date that we both agree on you are expected to pick the baby up within 5 days of the date.  There is a $10.00 per day charge for late pick ups.
I do ask that once we set a day and time that you are prompt.  You expect me to be here at the agreed time and I expect you to be on time.  Please allow for traffic etc if you are traveling a great distance.  If you are running late please don't wait to call.  Let me know asap so I can go about my day.  It is extremely frustrating to sit and wait and at the agreed time I get a phone call that you are running late.  Please call as soon as you know you are running late.  At this time the balance is due on the baby and cash only is accepted.  I have been stung one to many times with bad checks over the years.
Your baby will be ready for you with his or her bags packed!  The baby will come with a birth certificate, lineage, sleeping pouch, care sheet, sleeping buddy, his blankey and favorite toy.

DELIVERY

I do sometimes meet people 1/2 way as long as you are willing to cover the cost of gas.  I am not always able to do this being hard of hearing I will not travel alone and sometimes I just can't find a friend to ride along.  I will try my best if it is a long trip for you.  We can make this decision before you adopt the baby so you know whether or not I can meet you or if you must make the trip on your own.

SHIPPING

I do ship on occasion.  It is not my preferred manner to get a baby to his home but if it is the only option I will do it.  All airline, container, and Vet health certificate costs are yours.
